Ok, going this far might be a little much, but it’s that time of year and everyone here in the office loves brackets. Seriously, we’ve got all 31 conference tournament brackets printed out and hung up around the office. In the interest of full disclosure here, I have no idea how the teams are selected or seeded for the NIT. I just gave my last four out the #1 seeds, then my next four out the #2 seeds and guessed the rest of the way. I know that regular season champions that do not get an NCAA bid have an automatic bid here (which as of today is Iona, Valparaiso, Oral Roberts, Drexel, Montana and Middle Tennessee State. So here we go:

Austin Region
#1 Texas vs. #8 Tennessee State
#4 Colorado vs. #5 Oral Roberts
#3 Mississippi vs. #6 TCU
#2 Arizona vs. #7 Tulsa
Raleigh Region
#1 NC State vs. #8 Wagner
#4 UCF vs. #5 San Francisco
#3 Drexel vs. #6 Illinois
#2 Iona vs. #7 Vermont

Eugene Region
#1 Oregon vs. #8 Montana
#4 New Mexico State vs. #5 Wyoming
#3 Minnesota vs. #6 George Mason
#2 Saint Joseph’s vs. #7 Penn
Knoxville Region
#1 Tennessee vs. #8 Mercer
#4 Illinois State vs. #5 Dayton
#3 Iowa vs. #6 Buffalo
#2 Miami (FL) vs. #7 Middle Tennessee State
